Do not waste your money on tungsten carbide, go with a better metal product. Purchased for hubby in January and in April it accidentally slipped out of his hand, landed on the bathroom counter and shattered into 3 pieces. While this website advertises the tungsten carbide material as stronger than titanium & stainless steel this is not the case. According to sales associates in two local stores this happens regularly with the tungsten carbide rings. They all told me they are prone to breakage and shattering... too bad they failed to mention this when I was purchasing the item. Save yourself the headache and get a different ring in a different material.
This set was an upgrade from a similar looking set. I had my original set for about 3 years when the main stone came off and was lost. When I went in to the store I was really upset but the manager was very understanding and helpful. She calmly explained all my options, one of which was to trade in the old set and upgrade. We had planned on upgrading the original set in a few years anyway and this was just too beautiful to resist. The photos do not do any justice to how stunning it is. Also, the enhancer bands on my old set were not a perfect match to the engagement ring, and these being made for each other is so much nicer. They sit together so perfectly! We also chose to upgrade the head to platinum, as that was the piece that broke on my first ring and I definitely did not want that happening again this time around.
